We participated in the creation and application of the new design of Česká spořitelna, a.s. branches, which was applied to the main Brno branch on Jánská Street.
The building, with a frontal, concave curved part of the facade, represents a distinctive building of late functionalism. The core of the building consists of a large hall and an oval vestibule with a spiral staircase to the floor of the open hall, illuminated by a reinforced concrete dome with glass lenses.
The building was designed by Josef Polášek, Otakar Oplatek and Heinrich Blum. The building was designed in 1936 as a bank house with residential units and then opened in 1939 as the First Moravian Savings Bank.
The subject of the current reconstruction was building modifications associated with the modernization of the branch of ČS according to the new design for the Flagship format. The design of the branch was created by the K4 architect Ing. arch. Lenka Kouřilová.
